Locating your Cabinet

  • The TD-AS1681 volatile material oven requires a level surface to operate correctly.
  • Ensure there is sufficient clearance at the front for easy access and ventilation.
  • Do not store items on top of the TD-AS1681 volatile material oven. Maintain 300mm clearance at the top to ensure the inlet and outlet vents are not obstructed, allowing proper ventilation.
  • Maintain at least 100mm clearance at the back and sides to allow for proper airflow and avoid overheating.
  • Avoid placing the ovens too close to walls or other equipment to prevent performance issues.
  • The TD-AS1681 volatile material oven door should also be allowed to open and close at full range.

Castors

The TD-AS1681 volatile material ovens are equipped with lockable castors to prevent cabinet movement.Castor Fig 1

  • Ensure the TD-AS1681 volatile material oven is placed on a flat, stable surface. An uneven surface may cause instability within the cabinet and increase the risk of the unit tipping over or moving if the castors are not locked.
  • To secure the oven in place, press down on the brake lever to lock the castors. Always ensure the castors are locked to prevent unintended movement (Fig. 1).
  • When positioning the TD-AS1681 volatile material oven, ensure the castors remain accessible for locking (Fig. 3) and unlocking (Fig. 2). If the castors are damaged, contact your supplier or Thermoline for assistance.

Inlet and Exhaust

AS1681_top

All TD-AS1681 volatile material drying ovens are equipped with an inlet and an exhaust port located on the top of the cabinet.

  • The inlet regulates the amount of fresh (dry) air that enters the cabinet.
  • The outlet controls the amount of exhaust air that exits the cabinet.

Together, the inlet and exhaust ports work to regulate the drying rate by balancing the air exchange within the oven. The TD-AS1681 volatile material oven features a 25mm hole in the top of each flap. A minimum airflow is required, and the cabinet must maintain the specified pressure differential for proper operation.

Exhaust Requirements

  • The top covers of the inlet and exhaust can be rotated in either direction to open the exhaust and allow airflow. The air vents are located on the top of the cabinet.

  • For all TD-AS1681 volatile material ovens covered in this manual:

    • The exhaust is positioned on the left, and the inlet is on the right when facing the oven.
    • The exact position and number of fans may vary by model, but the overall configuration remains consistent.
  • The TD-AS1681 volatile material oven's vents can be connected to a ventilation system, either for the exhaust only or for both the inlet and exhaust. To connect, remove the vent covers first.

  • To prevent a potential pressure restriction, ensure the connected ventilation pipe is no smaller than 75mm in diameter for proper airflow and ventilation.

Shelves

All ovens comes equipped with shelves used for holding items while the oven is in operation. They allow for more than one item to be conditioned at a time. The shelves can be adjusted to different heights to accommodate different size items.
