Incubator Location
- The incubator requires a level surface to operate correctly.
- Do not store items on top of the incubator.
- The TMLR-200 cabinet requires proper ventilation for optimal performance. Thermoline recommends maintaining 100mm clearance on the sides and back to aid accessibility, and 300mm clearance at the top to ensure proper airflow.
- Ensure the incubator door can open and close fully without obstruction.
Castors
TMLR-200 cabinets are equipped with lockable castors to prevent cabinet movement.
- Ensure the incubator is placed on a flat and even surface. Uneven surfaces may cause operational issues and could lead to the cabinet tipping over or rolling away if the castors are not locked.
- To lock the castors, push down on the brake lever to secure them in place and prevent unwanted movement.
- When positioning the incubator, ensure the castors remain accessible so they can be locked and unlocked as needed.
- If the castors are damaged, contact your supplier or Thermoline for assistance.
Port Hole
The port hole is located on the left side of the incubator. The cabinet is equipped with a removable plug, which can be taken out by simply pulling it. Keep the plug safe in case the port hole needs to be closed again.
Loading the TPS-18
Installation Recommendation:
- Due to the weight of the TPS-18 (approximately 29 kg), Thermoline recommends that the installation be performed by two people.
- A trolley should be used to assist with the lifting and positioning of the shaker to ensure safe handling.
Power and BMS Connections for TPS-18 Platelet Shaker
The TMLR-200 is supplied with the necessary power lead to connect the TPS-18 Platelet Shaker to the incubator.
- On the TMLR-200, a lead is provided to connect directly to the BMS socket on the TPS-18.
- Both the power lead and the BMS lead are designed to pass through the 54 mm port hole located on the side of the TMLR-200.
These connections ensure seamless integration and operation of the TPS-18 within the incubator setup.
Installing the TPS-18 Platelet Shaker into the TMLR-200
-
Power Down the TMLR-200: Ensure the TMLR-200 is completely powered down before proceeding with the installation of the TPS-18.
-
Connect the Power Lead:
- Insert the power lead into the port located on the side of the TMLR-200.
- Feed both the power lead and the BMS lead through the 54 mm port hole on the TMLR-200.
-
Position the TPS-18:
- Use a trolley to carefully bring the TPS-18 to the open door of the TMLR-200.
-
Establish Connections:
- Connect the power lead and BMS lead securely to the TPS-18.
-
Slide the TPS-18 into the TMLR-200:
- Carefully guide the TPS-18 into position within the TMLR-200.
Final Steps for Installing the TPS-18 into the TMLR-200
-
Adjust Cable Position:
- Once the TPS-18 is securely placed inside the TMLR-200, pull any excess cable back out through the 54 mm port hole.
- This helps prevent the TPS-18 from fouling or getting tangled with the cables during operation.
-
Power On and Activate the TPS-18:
- Turn the TMLR-200 back on.
- Start the agitation function on the TPS-18.
-
Maintain Temperature Stability:
- The heat generated by the TPS-18 during operation supports the internal temperature control of the refrigerated incubator.
- Keep the TPS-18 running at all times unless you are actively loading or unloading samples.
This ensures optimal performance and maintains the integrity of the samples within the incubator.
SETUP WARNINGS
- Castors must be locked by pushing down on the brake lever. Ensure all castors are secured to prevent unwanted movement of the cabinet.
-
Ensure that the incubator is placed on a flat and even surface. An uneven surface may cause the cabinet to become unstable and fall, potentially damaging the product.
-
Proper ventilation is required. Failure to maintain clearance requirements may result in improper airflow and will void the manufacturing warranty.
BMS Output
TMLR-200 cabinets are fitted with a 3-pin socket for connection to a building monitoring system or phone dialler. A separate plug is provided to connect the socket to your system.
