Freezer Location
- The freezer requires a level surface to operate correctly. (Fig 1)
- Do not store items on top of the freezer.
- The freezer generates heat during normal operation, Thermoline recommends maintaining 100mm clearance on the sides and back, and 300mm above the cabinet to aid accessibility and heat dissipation. (Fig 2)
- Ensure the freezer door can open and close fully without obstruction. (Fig 3)
Castors
Freezers are equipped with lockable castors to prevent cabinet movement.
- Ensure the freezer is placed on a flat and even surface. Uneven surfaces may cause operational issues and could lead to the cabinet tipping over or rolling away if the castors are not locked.
- To lock the castors, push down on the brake lever to secure them in place and prevent unwanted movement.
- When positioning the freezer, ensure the castors remain accessible so they can be locked and unlocked as needed.
- If the castors are damaged, contact your supplier or Thermoline for assistance.
Shelves
The freezer comes equipped with adjustable shelves designed to hold items during operation. The shelves can be positioned at different heights to accommodate various item sizes.
To adjust the shelf clips:
- Hook the top of the clip into the slot. (Fig 1)
- Pinch and squeeze the base of the clip.
- Push the base of the clip into the slot and release.
All Premium Laboratory Freezers are supplied with adjustable shelf clips to accommodate different size items within the cabinet. The amount of shelf clips supplied changes depending on the size of the cabinet ordered.
SAFETY NOTE
The edges of the clips can be sharp. Thermoline recommends using protective gloves while adjusting or moving the clips (e.g. leather gloves).
Loading Guidelines for Cabinets
Maintain Airflow: To ensure efficient temperature control, air circulation must remain unobstructed. Avoid placing items directly against the walls; maintain a 50mm gap on all sides. Items should be positioned to prevent blocking airflow.
Distribute Load Evenly: Spread items across all shelves instead of stacking them on one. Avoid placing items on the floor of the cabinet, as this can interfere with freezing elements and compromise performance.
Ensure that the highlighted areas remain unobstructed to allow proper airflow.
Port Hole
The port hole is located on the left side of the freezer. The cabinet is equipped with a removable plug, which can be taken out by simply pulling it. Keep the plug safe in case the port hole needs to be closed again.
SETUP WARNINGS
-
Ensure that the freezer is placed on a flat and even surface. An uneven surface may cause the cabinet to become unstable and fall, potentially damaging the product.
-
Before use, ensure that all internal and external packaging has been removed, including tape, plastic bags, and foam pieces.
