Start Up Procedure
- Before proceeding, ensure all internal and external packaging has been removed from the appliance, including all tape, plastic bags, and foam pieces.
- Connect the supplied lead to the male IEC socket on the side of the oven. Then, plug the three-pin plug into a 10-amp or 15-amp General Purpose Outlet, as required.
- Turn the main switch, located next to the temperature control, to the ‘ON’ position to start the oven.
- The controller will go through a warm-up sequence, during which all display segments will briefly illuminate. Once complete, the lower display will show the set temperature (SV), while the top display will indicate the actual oven temperature (PV).
To access the complete OMRON Controller instructions, refer to the OMRON Controller manual. The guide provides detailed instructions and support for setup and configuration.
Loading
Drying ovens require constant airflow throughout the cabinet to maintain the desired temperature. Correct loading of the shelves must be considered for efficient cabinet performance.
Loading Requirements:
- Distribute the load evenly across all shelves instead of concentrating items on a single shelf. This ensures unobstructed airflow throughout the chamber.
- Keep the highlighted area of the cabinet clear of obstructions to maintain proper ventilation.
- Never block the air vents on the rear panel.
- Do not place samples on the floor of the drying oven.
Manual Reset Safety Thermostat
The over-temperature safety thermostat is not operator adjustable. It will electrically isolate the heating elements in the event of an over-temperature condition. This safety feature prevents overheating if airflow is blocked, which may occur due to air circulation fan failure or overstocking of the cabinet.
For instructions on resetting the safety thermostat, refer to the manual.
