Intended Use
The Thermoline Laboratory Refrigerated Incubators are designed and manufactured to provide safe and precise temperature conditions for sample storage. These incubators operate within a temperature range of +5°C to +45°C (+10°C to +45°C for the TRI145-1-GD/SD) and include alarms set at 5°C above and below the setpoint. The forced draught refrigeration system ensures consistent and reliable temperature control, meeting industry standards.
Key Features:
- Operating temperature from +5°C to +45°C (+10°C to +45°C for the TRI-145-1-GD/SD)
- Ecofoam Insulation
- Electronically controlled heating element
- Monitoring port hole
- Removable and adjustable plastic coated shelves
- Optional glass or solid doors
Unpacking
In most cases, the incubator will be foam-wrapped and delivered on its castors via sensitive freight. (Fig 1) The 145L incubator will be delivered in a box or a skid.
For remote deliveries, the incubator may arrive in a crate. To remove the crate packaging:
- Unscrew both the left and right sides of the packaging. (Fig 2)
- A forklift is required to safely remove the incubator from the crate.
Do not dispose of the packaging until the incubator has been fully inspected. If any damage is detected upon opening, contact your supplier or Thermoline immediately on +61 2 9604 3911 or email at service@thermoline.com.au.

Moving and Lifting
Moving the incubator:
- Ensure that the incubator is rolled on an even and flat surface. Uneven surfaces can cause the cabinet to fall over.
IMPORTANT
Incubators are 'Top Heavy'. Do not move the cabinet too quickly. (Fig 3 & 4)

Operating Environment
Location
- Place the incubator away from direct sunlight and heat sources (e.g., heaters).
- Ensure the room's ambient temperature does not exceed the cabinet's operational limits.
- The Incubator should be stored inside at all times. Failure to adhere to this could cause significant drops in cabinet performance and damage to items stored inside.
Environmental Conditions
Condition | Temperature | Humidity |
Extreme Operating Environment | 10°C to 32°C | Up to 85% RH |
Optimal Environment | 23°C (±5°C) | 50% RH (±25% RH) |
Electrical Connections
This refrigerated incubator requires a 10amp, 230V, 50Hz power supply. Use a dedicated outlet for the cabinet, and avoid using power boards or extension cords. Each cabinet is supplied with a standard 3-pin moulded plug for connection to the mains.
Power Supply:
-
The refrigerated incubator comes with a 2.5m removable mains power lead, featuring a three-pin plug and a female IEC plug. Ensure the cabinet is positioned at a reasonable distance from the power supply.
-
The cabinet itself has a male IEC socket.
WARNINGS
-
The incubator should be stored indoors at all times. Failure to adhere to this could cause significant drops in cabinet performance and damage to items stored inside.
-
Incubators are not suitable for use with flammable solvents, as they are fitted with components that may be a source of ignition.
- When removing packaging, exercise caution when using knives to cut tape and cardboard to avoid damaging the incubator.
