Problem: The "ALM" light is illuminated on the controller, but the temperature shown has not yet reached the set point.

Problem: Incubator not Heating to Setpoint (Omron Controller)
-
Cause:
- The offset (sensor correction parameter) has likely been inadvertently adjusted.
- Other possible causes include the over-temperature thermostat tripping or heater failure.
-
Fix:
Step 1: Check and Set the Correct Setpoint
- Press the "<<PF" button to move the cursor.
- The digits in SV will flash, indicating that the setpoint can be changed.
- Use the "UP" or "DOWN" arrows to adjust the temperature to your desired setpoint (e.g., 37°C).
- Wait for a few seconds until the digits stop flashing to confirm the entry.
Step 2: Check and Reset the Sensor Correction Parameter
- Press the PAGE button to display the "iNS" (Input Shift) parameter.
- If the "iNS" parameter has a value similar to your desired setpoint, it’s likely been adjusted instead of the setpoint.
- Change the "iNS" parameter back to 0.0.
Step 3: Verify Heating
- Once the "iNS" parameter is reset, the controller will start asking for heating, and you’ll see "OUT1" flashing.
- Wait 5–10 minutes and check if the cabinet temperature begins to rise.
Step 4: Troubleshoot Other Possible Issues
If the above steps do not resolve the issue:
- Check if the over-temperature thermostat has tripped.
- Inspect the heater for failure and replace it if necessary.
If the problem persists, contact technical support for further assistance.
