Problem: Oven temperature does not match the controller readout.

  • Cause: Sensor Issue
There could be several reasons why the oven temperature does not match the controller readout. One possibility is that the temperature sensor inside the oven is not properly calibrated or functioning correctly. If the offset is greater than 5°C, then the sensor may need replacing.
  • Fix: Replace the oven sensor. To complete this, you will need to contact a technician.

Problem: I cannot acknowledge the alarm.

  • Cause: Alarm Condition
The chamber may still be in the alarm condition. This will need to be fixed before the alarm can be properly acknowledged. Muting the alarm will only silence it for 15 minutes.
  • Fix: Once the issue has been resolved, press and hold the alarm acknowledgment button for 10 seconds to acknowledge the alarm.

Problem: There is no airflow in the oven.

  • Cause: Fan Failure
Limited airflow within the oven may be due to the failure of one or more internal fans.
  • Fix: Inspect the internal fans for functionality. If necessary, contact a technician for repair or replacement.

Problem: Lever latch door will not close (latch too tight) or does not close firmly (latch too loose).

  • Cause: Adjustable Strike
If the latch feels overly tight or will not completely close, the strike will likely need to be adjusted forward (away from the cabinet). Conversely, if the latch feels loose when closed and doesn’t hold the door firmly closed, the strike may need to be moved back (towards the cabinet).
  • Fix:
    1. Locate the Phillips-head screw in the bottom of the latch strike.
    2. Loosen the screw and move the strike forward or backward in small increments.
    3. Tighten the screw in the adjusted position. The grooved surface will help maintain its new location.
    4. Test the latch for proper closure after each adjustment.
Thermoline recommends making small adjustments (one groove at a time) for precision.
