Cold Plate Location

Location Requirements

  • The cold plate must be placed on a level surface to function correctly.
  • Do not expose the cold plate to any amount of water, as this can cause premature component failure.

Ventilation

  • Ensure proper ventilation around the cold plate:
    • 300mm clearance is required on both sides.
    • 100mm clearance is required at the back.
    • Refer to the provided diagrams for proper positioning and ventilation requirements.

When installing multiple cold plates, ensure they are positioned so that air from the ventilation grill of one cold plate is not directly drawn into the ventilation grill of the adjacent unit. This arrangement prevents heat transfer between units, which could negatively impact performance. It is recommended to maintain at least 300mm of clearance between each cold plate.

SETUP WARNINGSWarning

  • The cold plate requires ventilation for optimal usage. Keep the sides and top clear of any obstructions.
  • Failure to adhere to the requirements can lead to improper ventilation. Failure to observe guidelines may void the manufacturer's warranty.
  • Ensure there are no blockages around the exhaust, as this will affect proper ventilation.
  • Keeping the exhaust clear of any obstructions will also ensure that the cold plates does not encounter any issues throughout use.
  • Before proceeding, make sure that all packaging has been removed from the cold plate and that all tape, plastic bags, and pieces of foam have been removed.
  • If damage is present upon opening your package, notify the detail of any damage to your supplier or to Thermoline without delay at +61 2 9604 3911 or service@thermoline.com.au.
  • When you remove packaging from the cold plate, you should be careful when using knives to cut tape and cardboard.
