Low Temperature Protective Cutout (LTPC)
This article explains the Low Temperature Protective Cutout (LTPC) feature in vaccine refrigerators, which safeguards against freezing by stopping the temperature from falling below 0°C.
Note: This feature is optional and must be selected at the time of order.
The Low Temperature Protective Cutout (LTPC) is a safety feature designed to prevent the refrigerator from dropping below 0°C. It is factory-set and cannot be adjusted. This feature is crucial for storing items like vaccines that can be damaged if frozen.
The LTPC operates independently of the main temperature control, automatically shutting off the compressor if the temperature drops to between +1°C and +2°C. This ensures that, in the event of a control failure, the product remains protected from freezing, even under "cooling" conditions.
