Installing and Moving Shelves
Thermoline cabinets come equipped with adjustable shelves for convenient storage. Shelves can be easily repositioned on the Shelvex Strip using Shelvex Clips to accommodate items of various sizes.
-
Installing Shelvex Clips:
- Hook the Clip: Attach the top of the Shelvex Clip into the desired slot on the Shelvex Strip (Fig. 1).
- Pinch and Squeeze: Compress the base of the clip to fit securely into place.
- Secure the Clip: Push the base of the clip into the slot and release, ensuring it locks securely. Repeat for additional clips at the same height for proper shelf support.
-
Placing and Moving Shelves:
- Position the Shelf: Place the shelf on the installed Shelvex Clips, ensuring it is level and stable.
- Adjusting Shelf Height: To change the shelf height, remove the shelf and reposition the clips on the Shelvex Strip by following the above steps.
- Clear Shelf Before Moving: Always remove items from the shelf before adjusting its height to avoid accidents.
SAFETY NOTE
- The edges of the Shelvex Clips can be sharp. Thermoline recommends using protective gloves, such as leather gloves, while installing, adjusting, or moving the clips to prevent injuries.
- A shelf is designed to hold up to 50 kg. When loading items, be mindful of the combined weight on all shelves to maintain stability and avoid exceeding the weight limits of the cabinet and its supporting surface.

Loading Guidelines for Cabinets
-
Maintain Airflow: For efficient temperature control, ensure air can circulate freely. Avoid placing items directly against the walls; maintain a 50mm gap on all sides.
-
Distribute Load Evenly: Spread items across all shelves rather than stacking them on one. Avoid placing items on the floor of the cabinet, as this may interfere with heating elements.
-
Avoid Excess Moisture: Do not use open trays of water to increase the humidity inside the cabinet, as excess vapour can cause premature component failure.
Following these guidelines helps maintain proper temperature distribution and extends the cabinet’s lifespan.
-
Ensure the highlighted area of the cabinet is clear of all obstructions to ensure that proper ventilation is allowed throughout the cabinet.
